I’d go back after first time. We over heard a large group at the next table say the same thing. That group was sampling empanadas and cocktails. Staff very friendly and eager to please. I wish we were still hungry as the pastry case as you enter looks tempting.

I had the half chicken with both salted and sweet plantains—and wow, everything was outstanding. The chicken was perfectly cooked: moist, juicy, and packed with flavor. But the real stars were the plantains—salty, sweet, and savory all at once. Each bite brought me straight to the heart of Peruvian comfort food. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back!

Was recommended this place because of the gluten free options. Was not disappointed. The food is good the service is great and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. While the food is a little pricey the lunch special is a great values. The price of the food is matched by the quality of the food and service which I think presents amazing value for customers. Will be coming back.

You'll notice Mishqui from the street because of the beautiful mural on the building. The atmosphere inside is simple and very nice. Tons of delicious options for meat eaters, those who require gluten free meals, vegetarians, and vegans - all clearly labeled. The staff were helpful and friendly. The dessert case is beautiful!

The food is excellent. I ordered a quarter chicken, that was tender, juicy and flavorful. Along with that I had 2 sides- fried rice and stir fry veggies. The rice is delicious, loaded with flavor but not greasy like take out fried rice. The veggies were well cooked and still had crunch to them. I tried one of both types of empanadas- both amazing and tasty in their own right. Friends dinner of a pork dish was also delicious. Super tender pork.

My favorite place for Fried Fish in Wisconsin for sure! I’m from Brazil and every time I’m homesick I ended up there to eat my whole fried fish! The food is always delicious and consistent (something hard to find in Madison). Highly recommended!
